About Us

Girls United for Human Rights (GUHR) is made up of a group of young girls working to reduce discrimination and violence against girls, including early and forced marriage.

The organisation’s aim is for girls and women to have equal rights to boys and men.

OUR MISSION

At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to empower, elevate, and advocate for the active participation of girls in peace and conflict resolution processes. We believe that every girl’s voice is a powerful catalyst for change and that their
contributions are vital in crafting a peaceful and just world.

Our journey begins with recognizing the inherent strength and potential within each girl. By providing them with the tools, support, and platform they need, we ensure that their voices are not only heard but are also instrumental in shaping solutions to global conflicts.

We envision a world where girls are not just passive observers but active leaders in peacebuilding. Together, we envision a future where every girl leads the way in creating lasting harmony and justice.

OUR VISION

A world where every girl is recognized as a crucial partner in peacebuilding, leading efforts to resolve conflicts and create lasting peace in their communities and beyond. In this vision, girls’ voices, leadership, and bravery help build fair and peaceful societies where everyone’s contributions matter.

We see a future where girls are fully valued and supported as peacemakers. Their ideas and actions turn conflicts into opportunities for reconciliation and growth.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to ignite a transformative movement that empowers girls and women to step into leadership roles in peacebuilding efforts. We aim to shift societal perceptions
and influence policies so that girls are recognized as essential players in peace and
conflict resolution on a global scale.

Through this movement, we seek to open doors for girls to lead and inspire change,
ensuring their voices are not only heard but are pivotal in shaping peaceful futures. By
changing the way society views girls and integrating them into all levels of peace
efforts, we strive to build a world where their leadership and contributions are central to creating lasting harmony and resolving conflicts.
